Boro Striped Sweatshirt

・KUON-style uniform sweatshirt with UPCYCLED BORO TYPE2 on the chest seam.
・Rip weave edges are cut off to create a fringe-like effect.
・The silhouette is balanced by a slightly shorter length and narrower sleeves against the generous shoulder and body width.
・The silhouette makes it easy to use as an inner layer as well as the star of a single outfit. This silhouette is easy to use as an inner layer as well as being the star of a coordinated outfit.
・Collar, cuffs, and hem are knitted by KUON original.
・Pattern work was done to create a boxy silhouette that falls stonily with a looser setting so that the sports element does not become strong.

This sweatshirt fabric is made of 30 count cotton yarn on the front and 10 count thick cotton yarn on the back, and knitted into a pile like a towel, which contains air and makes it comfortable to wear.
It is knitted slowly using a rare vintage knitting machine, resulting in a soft and fluffy texture with a beautiful loop on the reverse side. The material has moderate warmth retention and high water absorbency to prevent stuffiness. By knitting carefully over time, the surface has a dressy look with a little stiffness, while the back side, which touches the skin and determines comfort, is left soft and pleasant to the touch.

Based on our experience in the process of producing upcycled boro, KUON has collected many kinds of interesting fabric remnants and assembled them together into cloth using a sashiko-patchwork technique. For washing KUON uses an ozone process to lower the environmental impact. This is an eco-friendly and sustainable fabric.
