"Bake-化-”

This collection is inspired by what amused me in my childhood such as Origami, playdough, paintings and papercrafts. I was absorbed in cutting and pasting paper as I wanted, kneading clay, and expressing various things with origami.

I worked on designs as if I were a child again, and repeated trial and error by myself and with craftsmen from all over Japan to give shape to my dim ideas. To describe the process, I selected the letter "化". It has various meanings in Japanese. Transform, Chemistry, Deform, Metamorphose and Disguise... While having chemistry with local craftsmen, fabrics transform into clothing, then deform them again and again.

The process metamorphose fabric into KUON products in the end, and the products help people to transform.
