-longing for the ocean-

The source of inspiration for this collection is my memory of the first time I went to the beach when I was a child. I was born and raised in the inland area of Iwate Prefecture, and even as an adult, I still have a strong longing for the ocean. The reason why "the beauty of nature" frequently appears as an inspiration source in KUON's collections is because I believe that "longing for the ocean" is the starting point, and I have created a collection focused on my own original experience and my memory.

The key color lilac is taken from the color of the shoes I wore when I went to beach first time in my memory. The styles are a modern reinterpretation of the American traditional style worn by my father, who was on his way to a business trip, mixed with Japanese essence such as kimono, hakama and aesthetic of "Wabi-sabi".
