Hi it's Shohei.
I would like to introduce our authentic winter outerwear in brown and blue, the theme colors of the 2021 Fall/Winter Collection. It looks light, but it is good for fall and winter because the fabric has secrets.
This outerwear in these two colors, brown and blue, are shining brightly in the store. The store was going to be lonely when they were gone, so I haven't introduced it until now.
FANAGE COTTON Bal Collar Coat
FANAGE COTTON Bal Collar Coat
Color: Dark Brown, Blue
Price: ¥55,000
Doesn't it make sense that these browns and blues have a strong presence in stores?
The unique colors are one of the reasons for their presence, but the fact that they have a long length, and if you look closely, you can see the nice texture on the surface...There are many things I can talk about this dress, so I'll write about them one by one.
Elegant A-line shape
The sleeves are cut diagonally from the middle of the shoulders that is called semi-raglan sleeve that follow the curve of the shoulders to give it a rounded shape. The A-line shape of the body part spreads out beautifully to the hem.
The generous A-line shape covers your body structure and makes you look good, and together with the small collar and sleeves, it adds a touch of elegance.
You can see well from the back how the construction works. It is made to fit the curve of the shoulders to make the shoulder area look neat and clean.
The shape of the body part spreads beautifully toward the hem.
In order to emphasize the shape, the fabric is processed in a special treatment.
Special treatment applied to the fabric
The A-line shape, which spreads out a little towards the hem, is made by applying a kind of Shape Memory Processing to the back side of the fabric to give it more elasticity and firmness, emphasizing the structured A-line silhouette.
The processing is a treatment of coating the fabric with urethane resin, which not only makes it windproof but also waterproof, so it can be worn as a raincoat.
It also enhances the natural unevenness of dyeing and wrinkles produced by the handwork of artisans dyeing and drying in the sun without using machines.
When I talk about coats with customers in the store, they often say to me, "I've bought a lot of coats, but KUON's coats have a strangely cheap price (lol).
Fully lined
The lining is made of Cupro. This is a great fabric for the winter season when static electricity tends to occur. Since it is fully lined, even if you wear it over a jacket or knitwear, you can slip it on and off without feeling stressed. It is a pleasure to have such a small attention to detail that is typical of Japanese people.
Lastly, the back of collar is switched with "Kuchiki" patterned fabric.
The "Kuchiki" pattern was popular in the Heian era (794-1185) and is still used today for altar banners at shrines. The pattern is based on the insect-eaten marks of rotting wood, and it was born from the Japanese sense of beauty that sees the beauty even in the "decay and perishing". The designer, Ishibashi has placed this patterned fabric on the back of the collar, which is not usually visible.
This can be a piece that expresses a sensibility of "enjoying fashion in invisible places" which evolved from Japanese esthetic, "Wabi-Sabi.
The coats introduced today can be tried on in the store to get a better sense of their quality, so please give them a try.
You can check the coat at here.
Thank you!
