【Side Zip Seersucker Blazer】
Color: White/Navy, Navy
First time I saw the jacket, I didn't find any connections between the concept and the blazer itself. However, I understood it when I heard the story, and it reminds me of my own memory of my childhood.
When Ishibashi first went to the beach, his father was on half family vacation, half his business. What he wore was a kind of traditional American-style clothes. Designer's father could be the inspiration.
While retaining traditional aspects, the designer's skills and experience have resulted in a jacket that is comfortable, relaxed, and elegant. I feel that this is what KUON is all about.
Just right
When you want to get all fired up and dressed up because it's a date, but you don't want to be perceived as "I've put a lot of effort into it." You want to look cool, but you don't want to be noticed. I think there are times when men do that.
The designer's cultivated skills in pattern work shine through. Although it has the shape of a beautifully tailored jacket, it is relaxed and not overly forceful by providing room in the bust and shoulder area. The unlined construction will bring out the naturalness of the wearer and enhance his or her personality.
It's just right.
Details
The jacket is made with dry-touch seersucker fabric, and there are several interesting details.
Hidden buttons are attached to the bottom of both side pockets, and when the buttons are unbuttoned, the zipper is revealed.
It works like vent.
It helps not only access to the pockets on trousers, but also enhance ventilation.
I ordered white/navy colorway, and can't wait to wear it in summer.
