The color is inspired by the sky, buildings and Tokyo Tower. Mr. Ohazama who specializes in Sashiko weaving and support KUON’s creativity, updated the pattern invented by Mr. Ohazama with advise of Yoshitaka Yanagi, a master of dyeing and weaving 40 years ago. It is difficult to express Sashiko weaving by current shuttle weaving machines, but we made it possible by decreasing the speed as low as hand weaving. So it takes about 1 hour to produce 1 meter. This is a special Sashiko weaving which is realized by Mr Oohazama’s professional technique and KUON’s sensitivity.
