The jacket was ordered in December the last year and it took about five months which was a long time but the jacket has tailored powerful and very beautiful.
We can make only few custom made a year so that the situation is waiting.
Just a brief description for the process of the custom made jacket below.
1. Listen to a customer's image and find and suggest the BORO from our stock. The based BORO we used this time was from 150 years ago. It was very ragged that took two months to repair.
2. During repairing the BORO, we make the toile (sample) of the jacket. The customer could not make an appointment to visit Japan so that we recieved the customer's favourite jacket to measure the size and also we listened to the demands politely many times.
We can correspond to fine custom made because KUON's designer has studied and trained tailoring.
3. When the toile (sample) is ready, send it to the customer and have the customer to try it on. Adjust the size and silhouette furthermore by recieving the comments and the photo of the customer wearing the toile.
4. Ask how to arrange and where to place the repaired BORO.
5. The skilled tailor tailors the jacket after finishing the last check of patterns and others.
KUON's special order jacket is very expensive and also it takes 4 or 5 months to tailor that unable to wear right away but you can enjoy the process of adjusting the size and designing which could not be in ready-to-wear clothing.
