Hi, it's Shohei.
Today, I would like to introduce a special experience in KUON Flagship Store.
(*The fabrics in the photo are from FW21 collection.)
The Japanese-style room in the store is not just an Instagram spot, but is designed to evoke the image of an old-fashioned kimono shop. Here, we provide made-to-order service.
Several customers have already placed their orders here, and I will be writing about their experiences.
I have purchased set-up suit by made-to-order before, and I still cherish the suit that I had ordered with great care and attention to detail, including the outer fabric, lining, buttons, cuffs, and so on. I also enjoyed the time I spent choosing the fabric and having my measurements taken.
Now, let me introduce you to the ordering process.
Once you've decided the fabric and detailed you wish, the first step is to take measurements.
Our designer, Ishibashi who started his career with tailor does it by himself
It is a rare experience to be measured by a fashion designer.
This is a very precious and special time where you can experience Ishibashi's skills up close, and at the same time, you can talk about KUON and other topics with him.
This time, the customer ordered a blazer based on a ready-made KUON one.
Ishibashi arranges the pattern as hearing the customers opinion.
He is the one who makes KUON clothes, so he can talk about them deeper than I can.
The customer selected the fabric that has been used for SASHIKO TATTERSALL Half Sleeve Open Collar Shirt and SASHIKO TATTERSALL Haarrington Jacket.
Here is the finished product. This is the only one of its kind in the world. Of course, the sizing are just right.
A jacket made from your favorite fabric that fits your body is definitely a "special piece" that you will be able to wear for a long time.
It is also possible to order items other than clothes such as hats, bags, belts and so on with our fabric.
Another customer liked KUON's SAKIORI and ordered an obi for his costume for "Awa Odori" dance", which is now in the production. When I heard about it from the customer, I got excited to see the finished obi.
There is also a customer who is placing a full order for BORO, so I will introduce it on the blog when the production completed.
If you've read this far, I'm sure you'd like to make your own special dress.
I'm writing this blog, and it makes me want to order one!
I would like to order a small bag made with this fabric and idea.
If you are interested in our made-to-measure service, let me know.
Thank you!
