Fabric

A traditional fabric used for Hawaiian shirts made in Hamamatsu, one of the leading areas of cotton fabric production in Japan. Rayon has excellent moisture absorption, good air circulation, and is perfect for summer. It is hard to express original colors by inkjet printing on rayon, but replacing the weft to cotton enhance it. It also added strength to the fabric. After repeated prototyping at a long-established printing factory in Kyoto, we were able to express the realistic texture of Suminagashi.
